Yes, if you're the family's owner or an admin. Open your family's member list, choose the person, and remove them.
An admin can't remove another admin. Only the owner can.
The owner can't be removed.
When someone is removed, they lose access to the family. What they already shared stays in your family's stories, still credited to them.
